We put priority on responsibly handling your personal data. We consider ourselves obliged to preserve and protect your private sphere. We therefore carry out our web activities in conformity with the current valid laws on data protection and data security. Lufthansa Revenue Services web pages can, however, contain links to other web pages not covered by this data protection declaration.

Collection and use of data
We do not collect any person-related data via our websites without your approval. You alone decide whether you want to inform us, for instance in the context of making contact, of this data. If you agree to your data being saved, it is used by us, Lufthansa Revenue Services and its subsidiaries for market research purposes. Consent once given can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
If you do not agree to your details being saved, we will use them only to answer your inquiry, process your order or give you access to special information or offers. Then we will delete your data.
However, the short-term registration of the IP number is necessary for calling up the web pages of Lufthansa Revenue Services. That means that if you visit our web pages, our web servers save on a standard basis the name of your internet service provider, the web pages which you visit with us and the date and duration of the visit.

4. Purpose of data collection, processing or use :

The range of services of Lufthansa Revenue Services GmbH comprises
- Compilation, checking and processing of sales data and flight documents,
- Invoicing of transport services between individual airlines,
- Training and consultancy services on all aspects of Passenger Revenue Accounting,
- Provision of management information for strategically oriented departments in Lufthansa Group, e.g. network, joint venture, sales or key account management,
- Preparation and study of complex data structures for further reporting to Business Intelligence systems .

Data collection and processing and use of person-related data are carried out exclusively for providing the aforementioned services of Lufthansa Revenue Services GmbH.

5. Description of group of persons affected and relevant data or data categories:

Personal data is collected, processed and used at Lufthansa Revenue Services GmbH mainly for the following groups:
1. Passenger data resulting in the context of the sale and utilisation of air tickets.

6. Recipients or categories of recipients who can be informed of the data:
Public bodies on the existence of overriding legal regulations, external contractors in accordance with §11 BDSG and departments of Lufthansa Group in so far as they require the data for accounting purposes.

7. Standard periods for deleting data:
The relevant data is routinely deleted after expiry of the duties to preserve records and deadlines established by law or supervisory authorities. If not affected by this, the data is deleted if the purposes specified under 4 are no longer applicable.

8. Planned data transmission to third countries:
Data on passengers of airlines in various countries also outside of the EU area is transferred to other airlines to handle procedures in the context of the accounting of sales and services.
